A thousand words and power

So, today I woke up in a debate with myself on whether to blog or not. Most often this kind of feeling makes me draft words and safe keep. In the past blogging seemed to be something other people do when not in Africa. But nowadays I now see blogging as a force of ideas made as a template to highlight who we are and where are from.

In other words, blogging is now as powerful as traditional forms of writing. This implies the power yielded in words can also be delivered by a blog instantly. Thereby building bridges between cultures, societies, tribes, and even in some instances forming unity across borders.

It also has help in acting as a platform to share ideas and to be heard. It is not often that we easily get to share our side of the story and what we feel. But African blogs can do that without having to carry the burden of being politically correct. Just by looking at it, we can share our interests not seeking to impress anyone but ourselves.

Winding down. I have come to appreciate how blogging has become therapeutic to some while to others a place to share and prove. All this helps the African society grow and forge new grounds to pursue.
