Societal Class Barriers

Every societal classes has a culture that they conform to for you to be accepted as one of them. This classes usually creates barriers for the development of various project within the communities we live in. The barriers created usually hinder innovation within the group. Cause if someone come up with a different way of doing things within the class will viewed as a thief or crook. This because new ideas will not welcomed forthwith as the old culture will be default setting.

Some of this culture is unspoken of but it is found within the class as it is cause of the base for values and norms that guide in actions within it. This default setting has different effects to the growth of those classes as some classes may welcome change and will others resist it. Usually the class resist change because of the fear of the unknown or just because it want to keep traditions. Traditions are the things that have been done from generation to generation and have been pass down through times.

Traditions and the unspoken norms and values have made many classes to fail to cope with the Global Village we now live in. This is so because some of these elements view other cultures as inferior. This cause problems for them to accept that the world have shrunk and requires teamwork as the pivot of making better communities. We can also look at this issues from the organization perspective as most organization have these classes.

On the organization tip the classes might have been fostered by the organization structure or some will be informal formed. Within those structures whether formal or informal comes with certain culture that strengthen their unity. This culture are usually the one that create problems for the institution to accept the need for implementing change.

Some scholars have now put forward an argument that change is now the really currency that organization are chasing in these modern times. This becuase if firms are slow to transform theirselves risk losing out on opportunity For change have become more frequent in this days as new more efficient and effective are always come up. Let take an instance when Skype came online it was the main thing to communicate with various people across the global but in less than ten years came Whatsapp which have been replacing it as people now have business account to promote smooth communication.

Some companies have accepted this changes have resulted in companies now having the ability to talk instantly with potential stakeholders in less time getting real-time information that is very useful for feedback. So the example above can illustrate that if companies have classes that forbid the adoption of this changes might cost them big. As may be stuck promoting a brand that no longer appeal to the market they serve of to product that appeal to a small segment (niche) which they be not attracting.

NB:We will be further discussing on this issue in our next post as we further explore the impact of those societal classes on economic growth and culture barriers.
